New Album SIN is finally released...
Well, at May, 20th the new album SIN has become released via Twilight Vertrieb. We really appreciate the efforts of all those who were involved in the creation. Thanks to Twilight, Basti, Lydia, Anne, Agony, Schmidt a.s.o.

It took a f...g long time to bring the record on the road to hell. There are various reasons for the delay. However, now it is done and we are ready to destroy YOUR ears.

New Deal ...
We can proudly anounce a new deal we finally signed with Twilight Distribution. It took a fucking long time to fix all the problems concerning line-up, mix & mastering (still in progress) and upcoming release. Nonetheless, we think that the path we now choose to follow is absolutely right (or left if you want). TD is a professional label to support the music GRABAK stands for. Now, be prepared for a unholy crusade and stay tuned for the updates to come...

For certain reasons S.Schmidt decided to leave GRABAK and to concentrate more on private issues. We are proud to announce you his replacement drummer C. Coenen who did his brutal job for ex-Valgaldrar (R.I.P.). . The current line up is as follows:

BEYOND A BLACK HORIZON...
Well, it's been a long time journey since November last year. Many things happend meanwhile but we are still alive!!! Not "still" alive...much more the dark flame is burning within us. There will be another piece of black and morbid art beyond the horizon we have travelled so far. In April this year we started recording our new album. Again we collaborated with Schidt and KTF Studio. Several weeks we spent our time recording and arranging the successor of AGASH. For us, there is no doubt about the level of both, quality and brutality of Black Metal in an unique mixture. Be sure that the path we startet to walk in 2007 is still the same and songs of blasphemy and hate will blast the blood out of you!!! Right now the final steps are taken to mix and master the stuff.

In terms of artwork we decided to work with more than one artist. Ecah of them got the order to create his/her interpretation of the main topic of the album. Yes, you might have recognized that Jan did some conceptional lyrics, again. The entire idea of the record we go to reveal when the time is right.

EISREGEN...
Es tut uns leid, Euch mitteilen zu müssen, dass unser Konzert am 07.11.2009 wegen vertraglicher Differenzen abgesagt wurde. Diese Entscheidung hat nichts mit der Band Eisregen oder ihrem Management zu tun. Alle diejenigen, die extra wegen uns eine Karte erworben haben, bitten wir um Verständnis, an dieser Stelle nicht detaillierter auf die Hintergründe eingehen zu wollen. GRABAK hoffen jedoch, genau diejenigen beim nächsten Konzert in Leipzig begrüßen zu dürfen...stay tuned.

New 4-String Assault!
To make a long story short... we have a new bass player. It has taken a long time to find an adequate replacement for Gabor but we think our decision was absolutely right. From now on Steffen will torture his axes for the Serpent. So be prepared for the new force...

Due to some problems with healt and tour environment ENTHRONED had to cancel their last 4 gigs. Further info you'll find on their website. As a result, we are going to replace Enthroned tonight in Eastclub Bischofswerda.

Wir wurden sehr nachträglich und sehr kurzfristig nominiert, am 14.07. 2007 auf dem IN FLAMMEN OA zu spielen. Wer also aus der Nähe kommt und uns mal wieder begutachten möchte, auf nach Torgau. Ansonsten hat sich auch am Freitag etwas getan. Da werden SEAR BLISS beim OA auflaufen.

BASSIST GESUCHT / BASS PLAYER WANTED

Um es kurz zu machen, unser langjähriger Bassist Gabor steht für kein weiteres Album zu Verfügung. Er hat diese Entscheidung bereits kurz nach unseren Aufnahmen zu "Agash" getroffen. Allerdings wird er uns auf unseren Konzerten unterstützen - zumindest solange, bis wir einen Ersatz gefunden haben. Wer sich also berufen fühlt... einfach eine email schicken.

To make a long story short, we have to inform you that our longtime bass player Gabor is no longer an active part of GRABAK. He decided to quit right after we finished our recordings for "Agash". It's his choice not to participate on further recordings but he continues to support us live - until we found a new companion. So here we go and look for a successor. Feel free to get in touch.

Wow, what a month... first of all we gonna say THANK YOU to all the fans who supported us on our Record Release Shows in Leipzig and Lauta. Second we really appreciate the bands' support. Thx to Neithan, Blooddawn and Goatcult. Now the album "Agash Daeva" has been released and the overwhelming response from fans and press seems to continue.

There are news concerning the gig in Lauta. For certain reasons Blooddawn can only play in Leipzig. As substitutes, Neithan will perform in Lauta, too.

Grabak is confirmed for the Satans Convention 2007 in December this year. Also confirmed: Marduk, Lord Belial, Hecate Enthroned...

ACHTUNG: Beide Konzerte in Hamburg und Stade sind gecancelt. Wir haben leider erst heute erfahren, dass beide Gigs aus uns noch unbekannter Ursache ausfallen. Wir versuchen natürlich die Hintergründe zu erfahren. Sorry...

Be aware... its time to ressurect. Our studio session wasn't finished, we already got the first media reactions. 10/10 points at Metalmessage speak a very clear tongue... Others will follow!

Thats it.... "Agash Daeva" is recorded. There are only some hours of mastering left. We would like to express our appreciation to Andy Schmidt and two guest musicians who participated in the vocal session. First and formost thanks to Nornagest of Enthroned for his voice on "Judas" and second Tobias G. of Mortjuri for his appearance on "Dominion". Thank you.

Studio Report 4: Mix & Mastering... We are zombies now. Our eyes and ears are totally out of work. Those, who ever participated in the process of mixing knows what we are talking about. We don't know how many times we now listened to the songs. Again and again slight changes in sound and arrangements were done.. fine tuning. From our point of view the result is much more experimental than any other album before. Fuck, on one hand its just like a slap in someones face. On the other hand there are many more fresh ideas and sounds than we ever had before. It totally was the right decision to work with Schmidt at KickTheFlame - again.

Studio Report 3: Bass & Vocal Sessions... What on the bloody hell...everytime we are in a studio Jan becomes ill. But just in time on wednesday he managed to recover. So, just to save him from any throat's disease we decided to have a rotation system in recording. Therefore, Gabor and Jan alternated their sessions. It really worked well. All in all it took Jan 2 days to scream, grunt and vocalize all the songs in the way it should be. "For me it was really hard work. I never before needed about two days to finish the vox. Afterwards my glottis was totally fucked up. Its like having a 24h live performance..." (Jan). Nevertheless, on friday evening both, bass tracks and vocals respectively were done.

Studio Report 2: Guitar Sessions... It took three days to record almost all guitar tracks. Both, Baddy and Recke sprinted through the riffs and melodies like being obsessed by the devil. It was pure fun to watch them play with bleeding fingers. However, they ended up really successfully. For us its the 6th time being in studio and it was never that much pressure we are under. There will be no second chance to have something like a comeback or new beginning. Insofar we really tried to catch as much evil spirit as we could...Vodka and Jaegermeister we summon thee!!! Thanks to Andy for being so patient.

Studio Report 1: Drum Session... From day 1 to day 3 we recorded all blasting drum tracks. For Basti it was the first "real" recording session apart from the promo stuff. Insofar its his point to tell the story of burning feet:

"Well, now that all 11 songs are recorded, at least the drums, I am really happy about it. Those of you who are drummers (on a really extreme level) know how fucking hard it is to keep power and dynamic on a high level. Playing songs of 250 to 280 bpm is flesh ripping work. I can say that I painfully recognized what to do in the very near future... more and more practicing. Anyway, guitars, bass and vocals will follow soon. Have a look at the pics below. Studio Report: Ok, now we have entered the studio. We gonna write some daily reports and take some pictures. So stay tuned for more.

New logo...Well folks, we know some of you will cry out loud but we decided to take a new logo for the coming album. Consider the following, we have had the old one for almost 12 years. Now, we feel the time is right to have a change. Our music developed over the years why should we show that with help of a new design? So we asked Christophe Szpajdel to draw the new logo art. Many of you will know him from logos for Emperor, Borknagar or Desaster. The final drawing you can see above...

New Galleries...We added more than 20 new pics to our galleries, e.g. brand new session pictures for "Agash" and certain live pictures taken in Altenburg.

Album Cover revealed... as promised we gonna let you know when the final artwork has been finished. Once more we appreciate Shizo's work for this cover. We feel quite comfortable with it because it perfectly reflects both, fascination and disgust. Thanks for your understanding that we can reveal a limited version as preview only. Details concerning tracklist and further artwork will be revealed very soon.

Album title revealed.. Our upcoming album will be entitled "AGASH DAEVA". Agash is an Old Persian demoness who is responsible for almost all diseases and decay. She is strongly associated with the evil eye and its power.

Release date of the coming album revealed... We are proud to announce that the coming album will be released on June, 8th this year. From that day on you can order it from every mailorder or buy it in your favorite music store. Further information will be revealed next time.

New Deal with Black Blood Records... Yes, its true, we signed a new contract with Black Blood Records. BBR is an arising label from Germany. It was originally founded as a sub label of EINHEIT PRODUKTIONEN (e.g. Krabathor, Thrudvangar, Nomans Land, Sorgsvart ...). Whereas Einheit Prod. continues to release Pagan or Folk Metal based artists, Black Blood Records now becomes more independent and concentrates on BM. We decided to join BBR because conditions, people and support are on a really high level. The new album will be distributed via SOULFOOD.

At the very beginning of March 2007 we will re-enter KICK THE FLAME (formerly Salvation Rec.) to record our upcoming album. We entered into negotiations with a prosperous label to release it officially. Sorry, but the status quo should be kept as a little secret... at least until we signed the contract. When we feel the time is right, we will reveal all needed information concerning label, distro, album title and track list. So be aware of when the Serpent awakens again.

Farewell! For personal reasons we gonna say good bye to our long-term booking agent and band mate Jule Rose. We really appreciate her work for us during the last two years. Thanx a lot and all the best for your very future (children can be devils, too...).

Summon the Serpent !!! After 7 years and three records via CCP Records we are currently looking for a succeeding eloquent and capable partner to release and promote our new viperous spells. Those who dare to charm the serpent (labels, promoters & booking agents) - feel free to get in touch.

NEW MP3 !!!! Yes, we know its been half a month ago...but hey, we are back from our recording. Together with Vurtox we recorded five songs as promotional material. Two of the songs, namely NIGHTWORKS and CODE666:BLASPHEMIE, you can download here and on MySpace.com. You should keep in mind that the quality of the MP3 does not reflect the real sound. To be honest, we can only recommend the Salvation Recording to all local musicians. Its really a fine studio with a maniac behind the mixer. Soon you gonna find several miscellaneaous pics here.

We'll be in studio SALVATION RECORDING from 11th to 15th of August. Both, the band and Vurtox, respectively, look forward this experience. After his long turn recording for Disillusion we gonna give his ears a "bloody" hint of how Black Art is going to sound like. We can promise some tracks up to 270 bpm. So be aware of...

Yeah, that was awesome. In terms of organization and sound the CMOA was fucking great. In terms of attention...well... However, as some of you might remember, we wanted to enter the studio early his year. For certain reasons we had to reschedule the date. Now we gonna do from August 11th onwards. From that date on we give you some samples to get the impression of Grabak 2006.

GRABAK will perform a gig at the Chronical Moshers Open Air. On saturday 10th of June we gonna play at least 5 new songs during our set.

Yesterday, our latest photo session took place. Unlike former sessions we used to gain help from Markus Schmidt. Just to give you a first impression here are two examples of the pics to come. A third one we added to our chronicle.

GRABAK decided to enter MySpace. Have a look and visit our mates' pages.

Andreas Marcher finished his excellent work on our new cover artwork. In contrast to earlier concepts and even former cover artwork, e.g. for "Encyclopaedia" or "Serpent", it has become much more minimalistic. The main focus is on the duality of fascination and abhorrence in one picture. It will be revealed when the time is right... so stay tuned.

As mentioned a couple of months ago we are currently working on certain material for a video clip. In order to produce it in an appropriate way we found three masterminds - Markus S., Markus B. and Pierre which have been highly responsible for several artistical outputs in the past. So to speak, our yesterday's gig marked the first of certain recorded live performances.

1995 - 2005 Well...it's done. For about 10 years GRABAK is lurking underneath the roots of Yggdrasil. During this time there were some changes in line up, several developments in terms of music, hard and really good times. However, we would like to show our deepest appreciation to our small but loyal fan community in Germany and abroad. Some of you we know for almost ten years and even longer. Thank you for your support. Actually we planned to do a special anniversary show but for some reasons we decided to play every single gig this years as fucking black mess full of blasting metal. Feel free to come in touch and we'll raise our cups for a joint drink. KEEP THE DARK FLAME BURNING!!!!

Um eventuellen Anfragen und Gerüchten vorzubeugen... Das Konzert am vorigen Sonnabend war sowohl von Seiten des Veranstalters als auch seitens der Fans großartig. Lediglich auf Grund des engen Zeitplans war es leider nötig, das Set um einige Songs zu kürzen. Wir hoffen auf Euer Verständnis. Wer nicht genug bekommen hat, ist am 10.12. 2005 nach Annaberg-Buchholz eingeladen, um sich dort den Rest blutige Ohren zu holen.

Just to avoid any rumours... Both, fans and organistation, respectively, were really great last saturday. Unfortunately, we needed to shorten the set list to keep the running order working. We hope you do understand and promiss to play all the stuff on 10th of December in Annaberg-Buchholz again.

Today we have to inform you that Dirk is no longer member of GRABAK. For several reasons -mainly of musical kind- we decided to split up with him. Of course he will always be part of our history and we like to thank him and honour his work for the band. As new drummer we introduce Sebastian aka Infernal from INVOCATION to you. He will replace Dirk as full member of GRABAK. All planned gigs will be played.
